`Full of It'
The teen comedy ``Full of It'' illustrates the cinematic Carmen Electra Rule, honed to perfection in ``Cheaper by the Dozen 2'': If the best joke involves her, the movie should not be released, unless there are mitigating circumstances, such as the appearance of Channing Tatum.
But no. No hot, young shirtless Abercrombie boys here. Instead, we have the irritating Ryan Pinkston as Sam Leonard, an obnoxious and freakishly tiny new kid who allegedly is a math whiz but too dense to realize it might not be a good idea to sing Beach Boys songs to the basketball team bullies.
After his first day of school, during which he proves he's a nerd over and over, Sam tries to fabricate his way to popularity, only to discover that his lies are all coming true, even the one about the size of his personal equipment. ``Full of It's" message is directed straight at 9-year-olds _ lying is bad! _ and yet there's plenty of sexual content. Unfortunately there isn't much else.
Sam is so obsessed with being popular and wanting to date the coolest girl in high school _ he hasn't noticed, apparently, that she and all the other seniors are at least 35 _ he doesn't realize his best friend Annie (Kate Mara) is the female equivalent of Channing Tatum. You might forgive him for his stupidity if he were creative or funny about it.
He does grow bored with his new life eventually, but not so quickly as anyone over 6 will grow bored with this film.
